Hotels with Water Parks in Minnesota – Twin Cities
Winter is long, and sometimes we just need a break. That’s why we hit up some of these awesome water parks that are right in our backyard in the Twin Cities. Great Wolf Lodge is our favorite, but it is expensive.
The Holiday Inn in Maple Grove is an excellent choice and is far more affordable. Non-hotel guests can even purchase extra wristbands.

Great Wolf Lodge Resort
Bloomington, MN (Mall of America)
Great Wolf Lodge is arguably the most popular and well-known indoor water park in Minneapolis. We have stayed there once per year since our kids were born and absolutely love it.
Formerly known as Water Park of America, Great Wolf Lodge boasts the largest water park in the Twin Cities. The water park covers 75,000 square feet and is kept at a perfect 84 degrees all year.
Fort Mackenzie play area is perfect for toddlers and little ones. Older kids will love Slap Tail Pond, their wave pool, Crooked Creek, their lazy river, and all the awesome waterslides. They even have a surf simulator!
Holiday Inn Maple Grove & Venetian Waterpark
Maple Grove, MN
Venetian Indoor Water Park is located at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Maple Grove at the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. It is a great hotel if you live in Minneapolis and are looking for a cheap weekend getaway for the whole family.
This indoor water park covers 25,000 square feet and has two four-story slides, Bambini Piscina (toddler area), water basketball hoops, and an arcade. It is free for hotel guests. Non-guests can join in on the fun for a day pass fee on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Wild Woods Water Park
Otsego, MN
Wild Woods Water Park is located in the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Otsego, MN. It covers 30,000 square feet and has multiple four-story waterslides, including two tube slides and one body slide.
Kids will love the lazy river and Buddy’s Playland offers a zero-depth play area with toys and activities for toddlers and little ones.
Water park passes come with a hotel booking. Outside guests are allowed for a fee. Please be aware that they are not open daily and wristbands are limited. We’d recommend calling ahead!
Best Western Plus Bloomington Hotel
Bloomington, MN
The Best Western Plus Hotel in Bloomington, MN has a small indoor water park. There is a nice toddler area with a waterslide and a pool for older kids. The hotel also has a hot tub.
AmericInn by Wyndham Shakopee
Shakopee, MN
The AmericInn by Wyndham in Shakopee is an inexpensive option for those living in the Twin Cities. It is very similar to the AmericInn in Silver Bay. It has a large waterslide, big pool, and smaller kiddie pool.

Country Inn and Suites by Radisson
Shoreview, MN
The Country Inn and Suites has a great indoor pool with a two story waterslide, Jacuzzi, and more. It is bare bones but works great for young kids looking for a swim.
Holiday Inn & Suites Lakeville
Lakeville, MN
We’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Lakeville for a couple of local weddings. It has a huge pool with a waterslide and basketball hoops. There is a separate kiddie pool and a hot tub.

Hotels with Water Parks in Minnesota – South
Southern Minnesota is best known for Rochester and the Mayo Clinic. If you ever find yourselves in the area, there are three great options. The first two are budget hotels.
Treasure Island is a much larger water park with a ton of amenities.

Best Western Rochester Hotel Mayo Clinic Area
Rochester, MN
The Best Western Hotel by the Mayo Clinic has a large indoor water park with a large waterslide, pool, basketball hoop, and hot tub. It also has a toddler area with a waterslide and fun water features.
Towneplace Suites by Marriott Rochester
Rochester, MN
Townplace Suites is located by the Mayo Clinic. It has two indoor pools, one designed for toddlers and one for older kids. Both have water slides. There is also a hot tub.
Treasure Island Resort & Casino
Welch, MN
The Lagoon indoor water park at Treasure Island Resort & Casino features a zero-depth toddler area with a waterslide, dump bucket, and geysers, two looping body slides, a lazy river, and an activity pool. It also has a separate adults-only area with hot tubs and a swim up bar.
Hotels with Water Parks in Minnesota – Center
Right in the middle of Minnesota is lake country. We love visiting the area during the winter, when the temperatures drop and the lakes are frozen. Each of the options below have warm and inviting water parks to cut the chill and give everyone a much-needed break.
Arrowwood Lodge & Conference Center

Arrowwood Lodge & Conference Center is home to Big Splash Minnesota Indoor Waterpark. It consists of 38,000 square feet of fun and includes a THREE 4-story-tall waterslides, a lazy river, and tropical whirlpool. There is plenty of fun for kids of all ages.

Arrowwood Lodge & Paul Bunyan Waterpark
Brainerd, MN
Arrowwood Lodge is home to Paul Bunyan Waterpark and is located in the Brainerd Lakes area of central MN. The water park covers 30,000 square feet and features a tube slide, four-story body slide, zero-depth entry pool, indoor/outdoor hot tub, lazy river, and more. There is something for the entire family.
Brainerd Holiday Inn Hotel & Three Bear Waterpark
Baxter, MN
Three Bear Water Park at the Brainerd Holiday Inn is a favorite family hotel in Minnesota. It has a great toddler area, two 300′ waterslides, giant hot tubs, an activity pool with basketball hoops, a lazy river, and smaller slides and a play area for toddlers and younger children.
Thumper Pond Resort
Ottertail, MN
The indoor water park at Thumper Pond Resort covers 12,000 square feet and has two 3-story water slides, an activity pool with basketball hoops, a volleyball net, and an 18-person whirlpool. There is a special zero-entry pool for the little ones.

Grand View Lodge
Nisswa, MN
The Waterfront Pool at Grandview Lodge has a 110-foot indoor water slide, connecting swimming pools, two hot tubs, three fountains, and two water guns. It also has beautiful views of the lake. There is no wonder it is a favorite of many of our closest friends in Minnesota!
Timberlake Lodge Hotel
Grand Rapids, MN
The Grand Splash Waterpark at Timberlake Lodge and Hotel is fun for all ages. It has a 98 ft body slide, jumbo hot tub, large pool, and kiddy pool with a slide.

Rapid River Lodge & Water Park

The Water Park at Rapid River Lodge has an indoor heated pool, lazy river, two large water slides, and a kiddie pool with smaller slides and a play area.

Northern Minnesota is not known for expansive resorts. That being said, there are a couple of options for families looking for a great hotel with a huge indoor water park.

The Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark sits on the beautiful shores of Lake Superior. The indoor water park covers 35,000 square feet and has multiple huge tube waterslides, a vortex pool, lazy river, arcade, and more. It also has Paradise Playground which is a zero-depth entry pool for toddlers and little kids.

AmericInn by Wyndham Silver Bay
Silver Bay, MN
Formerly the AmericInn, Black Beach Inn by Grandstay in Silver Bay is one of our favorite hotels on the North Shore of Minnesota. It has an awesome pool with a waterslide, jacuzzi, and small pool with a frog slide for smaller children. It is centrally located for all our north shore adventures.

Seven Clans Casino & Hotel
Thief River Falls, MN
The water park at Seven Clans Casino and Hotel has a huge indoor water park, covering 40,000 square feet. It was recently renovated in 2019 and has four large water slides, a lazy river, hot tub, and swimming pool. For younger children, there are three mini slides and a wading pool with swings and a splash pad.
