There are not a lot of breweries within the Plymouth city limits, however there are a ton of breweries near Plymouth, MN. The list below covers all the great breweries and brew pubs within a reasonable drive.
1. Luce Line Brewing Company
Luce Line Brewing Co is a brewery by the people for the people. It all started from a desire in the area to have a community space to hang out and enjoy great beers. The community stepped up and supported them through COVID and the rest is history.
Luce Line Brewing Company is located right off of the Luce Line Trail in Plymouth, MN. If it is your first visit, try one of their flagship brews, like Foggy Bottom Hazy IPA or Electric Owl sour with guava, blackberry and vanilla. Kids and dogs are welcome, and they have a great patio and arcade games like Pinball.
Hungry after that bike ride over to Luce Line via the Luce Line State Trail? They often have food trucks to satisfy that hunger!

2. Birch’s On the Lake Brewery and Restaurant
We’re a little biased. Birch’s on the Lake is by far our favorite brewery. It’s a mix of the beer, which is technically Gluten Free (just ask the server), the amazing food, and the stunning view of Long Lake, both in the summer and winter.
Their Hazy IPA and Birch’s Blonde Ale, made with Norwegian Kveik yeast, are crowd favorites. They also have an amazing crafted cocktail list.

3. Boom Island Brewing
Boom Island Brewing was one of the first craft breweries in MN. We knew Kevin Welch, the original brewer, quite well. We even used to sell him used wine barrels for his beers. Boom Island is inspired by classic Belgian beers.
Kevin even brought back unique yeast strains from a trip around Belgian monasteries!
We love the classics like Silvius Pale Ale, Hoodoo Belgian Dubbel, and Brimstone Belgian Trippel

4. Back Channel Brewing
Run by our good friends and old neighbors, Back Channel Brewing is an excellent summer choice. We like to make a day of it and head over to our favorite restaurant, Dakota Junction, before or after. They also now offer Saunas on site!
We love their Good Fun American Lager and Ballooney Bin West Coast IPA.

5. Utepils Brewing
Utepils is one of our favorite Minnesota breweries and your stop for everything German-beer related. They host an epic Oktoberfest Celebration.
We love the classics: Helles, a Munich-style helles lager and Lunar Eclipse, a Czech-style dark lager.

6. Iron Exchange
Iron Exchange is a brewery and restaurant based in Maple Plain, MN. The food (Detroit Style Pizza is a must) is excellent, and they have great bands on the weekends.
We love their Helles Lager and Juicy Xtract IPA.

7. Bauhaus Brew Labs
Bauhaus Brew Labs is a staple on the west(ish) side of Minneapolis. While not technically in Plymouth, MN, it is close enough! Bauhaus takes a unique look at classic German-inspired beer styles and has a fun WWII inspired story.
This award-winning brewery blends uncompromising craftsmanship and churns out consistently great beers.
